Pregnancy Category:B

Breastfeeding: Use of penicillin v is acceptable during breastfeeding. Single maternal doses of 1320 mg produce low levels in milk that are not expected to cause adverse effects in breastfed infants. Disruption of the infant's gastrointestinal flora, resulting in diarrhea or thrush, has been reported occasionally but has not been adequately evaluated.
