Adult Dosing
Meningococcal serogroup B immunization
- Trumenba: Administer as a 3-dose series of 0.5 mL each at months 0, 2, and 6
- Bexsero: Administer two doses of 0.5 mL each at least 1 month apart
Note:
- The preferred site for injection is the deltoid muscle of the upper arm
- Do not mix this vaccine with any other vaccine in the same syringe
- Do not use the vaccine if particulate matter or discoloration is seen
Pediatric Dosing
Meningococcal serogroup B immunization
- Safety and effectiveness have not been established in children <10 years of age. In a clinical study, 90% of infants <12 months old had fever after vaccination with a reduced dose of Trumenba
- Trumenba: >10 yrs: Administer as a 3-dose series of 0.5 mL each at months 0, 2, and 6
- Bexsero: >10 yrs: Administer two doses of 0.5 mL each at least 1 month apart
