Breastfeeding: Safety unknown; literature on the use of topical fluocinonide during breastfeeding is unavailable. Due to poor absorption on topical application considered as a low risk to the nursing infant. Ensure that the infant's skin does not come into direct contact with the treated areas of skin. Apply only water-miscible cream products to the breast because ointments may expose the infant to high levels of mineral paraffins via licking.
