In addition to adverse cardiovascular effects of amiodarone, other adverse effects include:

• CNS—malaise, fatigue, dizziness, peripheral neuropathy, ataxia, paresthesia, tremors, headache, vision disturbances
• Respiratory—pulmonary toxicity (progressive dyspnea, cough, fever, pleuritic chest pain)
• GI—nausea, vomiting, constipation, anorexia, elevated liver function tests
• Other—photosensitivity, abnormal taste and smell, hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, bleeding disorders, muscle weakness.
