In addition to adverse cardiovascular effects of lidocaine, other adverse effects (mostly dose-related) include:

• CNS—seizures, confusion, drowsiness, dizziness, tremors, restlessness, light-headedness, paresthesia, tinnitus, double vision
• Respiratory—respiratory arrest, status asthmaticus
• GI—nausea, vomiting
• Other—anaphylaxis.
