In addition to adverse cardiovascular effects of class II beta-adrenergic blockers, other adverse effects include:

  • CNSinsomnia, syncope, mental depression, emotional lability, fatigue, headache, dizziness, lethargy, vivid dreams, hallucinations, light-headedness
  • Respiratorydyspnea, bronchospasm, especially in patients with asthma or other bronchospastic disease.
