Steven A. Abrams, MD, FAAP , is a Professor of Pediatrics and practicing neonatologist at Dell Medical School, University of Texas at Austin. He is a world-renowned expert in mineral metabolism, specifically the use of stable isotopes to determine calcium, zinc, and iron requirements in children. He is the current Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Nutrition and a past chair of the AAP Committee on Nutrition.
