John B. Chambers, M.D. is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializing in adult and pediatric back, neck, and spine surgery. Dr. Chambers completed his undergraduate degree at Eastern Kentucky University and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1992. He completed both an internship in general surgery and his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Georgia. Before joining Southern Indiana Orthopedics in 1992, Dr. Chambers completed a fellowship in spine at the Norton Leatherman Spine Center/Spine Institute for Special Surgery in Louisville. His research and writing of orthopedic and spine topics can be found in publications and presentations at major meetings. In 1995 and 1996, Dr. Chambers served as a certified ring physician for United States Amateur Boxing.
