Clinical Scoring in Suspected Acute Aortic Syndrome
Aortic dissection is likely if there are ≥2 of:
- Instantanous onset chest or back pain
- One high-risk condition from:
- A congenital predisposition (Marfan, Ehlers-Danlos, Turner's or Loeys-Dietz syndromes)
- Pregnancy
- Aortic valve disease or
- Dilated aorta or
- Recent cardiac surgery or cardiac catheterization
- Family history of dissection or sudden premature death
- One high-risk sign from:
