Causes of Sinus Bradycardia
Cardiovascular- Chronic sinus node dysfunction (due to idiopathic degenerative/fibrotic change in sinus node)
- Acute sinus node dysfunction due to ischaemia (typically in inferior myocardial infarction; sinus node artery arises from right coronary artery in ∼90%)
- Manoeuvres triggering high vagal tone, for example suctioning of airway
- Vasovagal syncope
- Carotid sinus hypersensitivity
