- Regional oligaemia distal to an obstructive embolus (Westermark's sign)
- Enlarged right descending central pulmonary artery (Palla's sign)
- Local widening of the pulmonary artery by impaction of embolus (Fleischer's sign)
- Peripheral pleural-based wedge of airspace opacity with a rounded convex apex implying an area of lung infarction (Hampton's hump)
