Ocular inflammation/pain associated with cataract surgery

• Instill 1 gtt in eye/s bid for 15 days
• Start 24 hrs postsurgery and continue for 2 wks postoperatively

• Treatment of postoperative ocular inflammation and reduction of ocular pain following cataract removal

• Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the product
• Hypersensitivity to sulfites ASA or NSAID-induced asthma
• Hypersensitivity to ASA, NSAIDs
• Hypersensitivity to phenylacetic acid derivatives
• Pregnancy 3rd trimester
• Use of contact lens

Hepatic Dose Adjustment

• Hepatic impairment: No dose adjustments

• Sulfite allergic-type reactions including anaphylactic symptoms and life-threatening or less severe asthmatic episodes have occurred in susceptible individuals. Asthmatic are more prone
• May slow or delay healing. Potential for healing problems increases with concomitant use of topical NSAIDs and topical steroids
• Potential for cross-sensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid, phenylacetic acid derivatives exists. Use caution when treating individuals who have previously exhibited sensitivities
• Potential for increased bleeding time due to interference with platelet aggregation exists. Ocularly applied NSAIDs increases bleeding of ocular tissues (including hyphemas) in conjunction with ocular surgery
• Epithelial breakdown, corneal thinning, corneal erosion, corneal ulceration or corneal perforation has occurred in some susceptible patients. Such events may be sight threatening. Immediately discontinue use of this drug and closely monitor corneal health in patients with evidence of corneal epithelial breakdown. Use of this drug >24 hrs prior to surgery or use beyond 14 days post surgery increases patient risk for the occurrence and severity of corneal adverse events

• Corneal denervation
• Corneal epithelial defects
• Raised IOP
• Dry eye syndrome
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Diabetes mellitus
• Bleeding tendencies

Pregnancy Category:C (Avoid in late pregnancy)
