• Recommended for external use only
• Instruct patients to avoid using this drug near fire or flame; advise them not to smoke during and immediately following application
• Avoid prolonged use of the product without consulting a clinician
• Avoid using this drug in or around the rectum or in the genital area or groin except on the advice of a clinician
• Instruct patients to inform their physician if they have a condition that covers a large body surface area
• Instruct patients to inform their clinician if they are using other forms of psoriasis therapy such as ultraviolet radiation or other prescription drugs
• Avoid contact with the eyes; rinse eyes thoroughly with water if accidental contact occurs
• Exercise caution in exposing skin to sunlight following application; increased tendency to sunburn exists for up to 24 hrs after application of this drug
• Staining of clothes, contact lenses, and hair may occur with this product. Allow product to dry before contact for minimizing staining
• Discontinue therapy and promptly consult a physician if condition worsens or does not improve after regular use as directed
• Instruct pregnant or breast-feeding women to consult a health professional before using this drug
• Advise patients to immediately contact a Poison Control Center or seek medical help on accidental swallowing of the product

Breastfeeding: Topical application to maternal skin may result in pyrene absorption by the infant, probably by skin-to-skin or skin-to-mouth contact with the mother. Alternate drugs are preferred because potential toxicity to the breastfed infant exists. It is prudent to treat the smallest area of skin possible. Ensure that the infant's skin does not come into direct contact with the areas of skin that have been treated.
