Adult Dosing

Seborrhea/Dandruff

• 1% Shampoo: Apply twice/wk for 2 wks; then decrease frequency q1-4 wks as per the response, leave for 2-3 mins and then rinse thoroughly
• 2.25% Shampoo or 2.5% Lotion: Apply every 1-4 week; max twice/wk

Tinea versicolor

• Apply 2.5% lotion to the affected areas and lather with a small amount of water, leave for 10 min and then rinse. Repeat q7 days

Pediatric Dosing

• Safety and effectiveness in infants have not been established

• Do not use in acute inflammation or when exudation is present, as it may increase absorption
• Application on the scalp can produce skin irritation or sensitization, if sensitivity reactions occur discontinue the treatment
• selenium produce irritation especially in the genital area and where skin folds occur, advise patients to rinse thoroughly these areas after application

• Advise patients to avoid contact with the eye as it can cause irritation
