Adult Dosing

Acne vulgaris

• Apply gel/wash/cream/pads to the affected areas qd- bid
• Alt: Wash skin qd-bid with cleanser
• Improvement may be seen after 3 wks but may take as long as 8 wks
• Note: Wash affected skin, rinse thoroughly and pat dry before aplication; may bleach hair, fabric

Pediatric Dosing

Acne vulgaris

• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, mucous membranes
• Avoid sun exposure
• May cause mild burning, reddening and peeling of skin. Sudden increase in peeling which may occur within first few weeks of therapy is not harmful and usually subsides in 1-2 days of treatment discontinuation
• Discontinue if sensitivity or severe irritation develops
• Contact with any colored material (including hair and fabric) may result in bleaching or discoloration

Pregnancy Category:C

Breastfeeding: Safety unknown. However, due to minimal systemic absorption, it would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in the breastfed infant. Ensure that the infant's skin does not come into direct contact with the areas treated with this drug. Use of water-miscible cream products on the breast is recommended.
