• Hypersensitivity reactions including Stevens-Johnson syndrome and exfoliative dermatitis may occur with the use of therapy
• Therapy may cause systemic toxic reactions such as agranulocytosis, acute hemolytic anemia, purpura hemorrhagica, drug fever, jaundice and contact dermatitis indicating hypersensivity to sulfonamides
• Exercise caution if areas of denuded or abraded skin are involved
• Indicated for external use only; keep away from eyes
• Therapy may cause reddening and scaling of the epidermis. Uncommon adverse reactions such as dryness, erythema, itching, and edema may occur
• Monitor patients for possible local irritation or sensitization during long-term therapy
• Suspend therapy if excessive irritation develops and institute appropriate therapy
