• Avoid using this combination drug in patients having a history of allergy to local anesthetics such as procaine, butacaine, benzocaine, or any other caine anesthetics
• Advise patients to immediately consult a clinician if they experience severe or persistent sore throat or sore throat accompanied by high fever, headache, nausea and vomiting
• Avoid using this combination drug for >2 days; prescribe this drug only to patients of recommended age groups. Avoid exceeding recommended dosage
• Discontinue therapy if symptoms related to sore mouth do not improve within 1 wk, or if irritation, pain or redness persists or worsens

• Shock
• Thyroid disorder
• Debilitated patients
• Geriatric patients

• Instruct patients to inform their clinician if they are pregnant or breast feeding
• Advise patients to keep the medication out of reach of children
• Advise patients to seek medical help or contact a Poison Control Center, in case of medication overdose
