Acne vulgaris
- Apply 1% solution/gel/lotion to affected areas daily to bid; alt: Apply 1% foam to affected areas daily
- Clindagel: Apply 1% gel to affected areas daily
Note: Wash area prior to application. Wash hands before & after application; avoid eye area

- For topical use only; not for ophthalmic use
- It can cause erythema, peeling, dryness and itching
- C.difficile associated diarrhea has been reported with topical use; discontinue therapy in cases of severe diarrhea
- It may cause burning and irritation of the eye in case of accidental contact; avoid contact with eyes and all mucous membranes
- Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established

- Atopic individuals
- neuromuscular blocking agents

Breastfeeding: Safety unknown; however, due to minimal systemic absorption, it would be not expected to adversely affect the breastfed infant. Topical application to the nipple may cause diarrhea in the infant.
