Adult Dosing
Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)
- 0.25 mg PO bid with food, taken approximately 12 hours apart
- May increase to 0.25-0.5 mg bid q3-4 days; if 0.25 mg PO bid dose increments are not tolerated consider titrating slower
- Total daily dose can be divided and given tid with food (8 hours apart), titrating by increments of 0.125 mg PO tid
Pediatric Dosing
- Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patient have not been established

- Avoid abrupt discontinuation or rapid dose reduction, as it may result in worsening of PAH symptoms
- Increased risk of bleeding due to platelet aggregation inhibition
- Do not take therapy with alcohol
- In patients with diverticulosis tablets can lodge in a diverticulum

- Renal impairment
- Anticoagulants
