- Avoid contact with leather, fabric and upholstery to prevent possible staining or discoloration
- Indicated for external use only
- Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and mucus membranes
- Avoid using this combination drug in patients with a history of allergy to local anesthetics such as procaine, butacaine, benzocaine, or any other caine anesthetics
- Avoid application of excessive amounts of this drug on broken, blistered, abraded skin or open wounds and over large surface areas
- Advise patients to avoid spraying this drug on the face or in the mouth and to avoid inhalation
- Fatalities can occur on accidental inhalation of this drug
- Avoid exceeding recommended dosage
- Instruct patients to inform their clinician if they are pregnant or breast feeding
- Keep out of reach of children. On overdosage, seek medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away
- Discontinue use and immediately consult a physician on worsening of condition, persistence of symptoms >7 days, or if it clears up and occurs again within a few days

Supplemental Patient Information
- Instruct patients to keep the product away from fire, open flame, and heat
- Advise patients not to puncture or incinerate the product
- Instruct patients to avoid smoking during therapy

Breastfeeding: Safety unknown. Topical benzocaine has not been evaluated during breastfeeding, but is unlikely to adversely affect the breastfed infant if it is applied away from the breast. Avoid application to the breast or nipple area as the infant may ingest the drug during nursing and it has been associated with severe methemoglobinemia.
