Adult Dosing
Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, refractory stage 1A/1B
- Apply 1% gel qod x 1wk, then increase 1 application/day qwk up to qid. [Max: 4 applications/day]
- Decrease frequency/discontinue if skin toxicity occurs; do not use occlusive dressing
- Initiate treatment on the second or third day of a normal menstrual period in women
Pediatric Dosing
- Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established

- For external use only
- Avoid application of the gel on or near mucosal surfaces of the body such as eyes, nostrils, mouth, lips, vagina, tip of the penis, rectum, or anus
- Avoid application of the gel to normal skin surrounding the lesions
- Avoid use of insect repellents containing DEET (N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide) or other products containing DEET while using gel
- Keep away from children and flame
- Associated with birth defects; avoid using in pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Perform a pregnancy test 1 wk before initiation of therapy in women; repeat pregnancy test monthly

Supplemental Patient Information
- Advise patients to avoid sunlight or UV light exposure after application
- Advise women of childbearing age to initiate 2 forms of effective contraception (one non hormonal) 1 month before starting therapy, during therapy, and for 1 month after discontinuation
- Advise men with partners of childbearing potential to use condom during therapy and for 1 month after discontinuation
- Advise patients to limit vitamin A intake to up to 15,000 units/day to avoid potential additive toxic effects
