Moderate to severe persistent asthma
- 150-375 mg SC q2-4 wks
- Determine doses and dosing frequency as per body weight and serum total IgE level, measured prior to treatment initiation (refer package insert)
- Divide doses >150 mg among more than one injection site to limit injections to not more than 150 mg/site
- Reconstitute using sterile water for injection. Use within 8 hrs after reconstitution when stored in the vial at 2-8°C or within 4 hours of reconstitution if stored at room temperature
- For SC use only; not intended for IM/IV use
Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria
- 150-300 mg SC q4weeks
Note:
- Dosing of medication in chronic idiopathic urticarial patients is not dependent on serum IgE (free or total) level or body weight, and appropriate duration of therapy has not been evaluated, hence periodically reassess the need for continued therapy
