• For topical ophthalmic use only. Not for injection or oral use
• Ketotifen should not be used to treat contact lens related irritation
• Ketotifen can cause eye pain, redness, worsening of itching and change in vision, discontinue the drug if such symptoms occurs
• This preparation should not be used if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy

• Advise patient to remove contact lenses before use
• Advise patients not to touch tip of container to any surface to avoid contamination

Pregnancy Category:C

Breastfeeding: Safety unknown, because of minimal absorption from eye, maternal use of ketotifen eye drops should not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants. Place pressure over the tear duct by the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue to minimize the amount of drug that reaches the breastmilk after using eye drops.based upon LactMed database (available at http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/sis/htmlgen?LACT last accessed 11 March 2011). Manufacturer advises caution.
