• For topical administration only, not for oral, ophthalmic or intravaginal use
• Safety and efficacy in patients with known/suspected disorders of calcium metabolism have not been established
• Safety and efficacy in patients with erythrodermic, exfoliative or pustular psoriasis have not been established
• Safety and efficacy of the duration of treatment >52wks is not established
• Hypercalcemia can occur as the treatment affects calcium metabolism
• Calcium aberrations may occur, discontinue the treatment until aberrations in parameters of calcium metabolism are normalized
• Occlusive use may result in increase absorption producing systemic effects
• Avoid exposure of the treated areas to natural or artificial sunlight, including tanning booths and sun lamps, avoid UV light exposure
• Limit or avoid concurrent use of phototherapy in patients on ointment therapy

• Patients on therapy known to increase serum calcium level
• Patients on thiazide diuretics
• Concomitant use with calcium supplements
• Concomitant use with high doses of vitamin D
• Hypercalcemia

Pregnancy Category:C

Breastfeeding: Dose adjustments in nursing mother do not affect breastfed infant. Requirements of calcitriol and calcium are usually reduced during lactation in women with hypoparathyroidism. Administration of a minimum of 400 IU of vitamin D daily to all infants, children and adolescents is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
