- Avoid using ulipristal for termination of an existing pregnancy. Exclude pregnancy before administering of ulipristal. In case of any doubt related to general health or pregnancy status of any woman after taking ulipristal, a follow-up physical or pelvic evaluation is recommended
- Consider possibility of ectopic pregnancy in pregnant women or in case of lower abdominal pain after taking ulipristal
- Not intended for routine use. Repeated use of ulipristal is not recommended within the same menstrual cycle
- Ulipristal may alter the next expected menses. If menses is delayed beyond 1 week, pregnancy should be ruled out
- Ulipristal does not protect against STI/HIV infection
Supplemental Patient Information
- Advise patients to contact their physician if vomiting occurs within 3 hours of taking ulipristal to discuss whether another tablet should be taken
- Advise patients not to use ulipristal if they are breastfeeding
