Vaginal yeast infections

• 100 mg suppository PV qhs x 7 nights; alt. 200 mg PV qhs x 3 nights; alt. 1200 mg PV qhs as a single dose
• Apply 2% cream to the affected area qhs x 7 days; apply 4% cream PV qhs x 3 nights
• Combination pack: Contains cream and suppository
• SUPP (1200 mg) + CRE (2%): 1 SUPP PV qhs x 1 day; apply cream externally bid x 7 days

• For vaginal use only
• Do not use if you have never had a vaginal yeast infection diagnosed by a physician
• If the patient experiences fever; pain in the lower abdomen, back or shoulders; or a foul-smelling vaginal discharge while on therapy, consider discontinuing the product and contacting a physician
• Miconazole [vaginal] may cause increased vaginal burning, itching, or irritation for the first time
• Do not use tampons, douches, spermicides or other vaginal products during treatment
• Avoid vaginal intercourse during therapy
• If there is a lack of response to therapy, repeat appropriate microbiological studies to confirm the diagnosis
