Adult Dosing
Nasal and nasopharyngeal mucosa congestion
- Instill 2-4 gtts of 0.1% nasal soln in each nostril PRN; not more often than every 3 hours
- Alt: 2-4 nasal sprays in each nostril; not more often than every 3 hrs
Pediatric Dosing
Nasal and nasopharyngeal mucosa congestion
Child > 6 yrs
- Instill 2-4 gtts of 0.1% nasal soln in each nostril PRN; not more often than every 3 hours
- Alt: 2-4 nasal sprays in each nostril; not more often than every 3 hours
Child 2-6 yrs
- Instill 2-3 gtts of 0.05% nasal soln in each nostril PRN; not more often than every 3 hours
Note: Use of 0.1% Nasal Solution and 0.1% Nasal Spray is not indicated in children 2-6 years of age

- Overdose may produce profound sedation in children including profuse sweating, hypotension or shock
- Avoid doses greater or more frequent than those recommended
- Excessive dosage may cause severe drowsiness in children
- It can cause burning, stinging, sneezing or dryness of the nasal mucosa
- Hypotension, shock have been reported with overdosage. Use cautiously in patients with cardiovascular disease and metabolic-endocrine diseases
- Discontinue use if adverse reactions occur

Supplemental Patient Information
- Accurately follow the prescribed dosage regimen
- Administer the spray with the head held upright
- To spray, squeeze bottle quickly and firmly and sniff briskly
- Instill nose drops in the lateral head-low position
Pregnancy Category:C
Breastfeeding: Safety unknown. It is not known whether tetrahydrozoline (nasal) is excreted in breastmilk. Manufacturer advises caution when administering to a nursing woman.
