PRECIPITANT DRUGS
Triptans:
- Almotriptan (Axert) 
- Eletriptan (Relpax) 
- Frovatriptan (Frova) 
- Naratriptan (Amerge) 
- Rizatriptan (Maxalt, etc.) 
- Sumatriptan (Imitrex, etc.) 
- Zolmitriptan (Zolmig, etc.) 
Comment:
Theoretically, concurrent use of ergot alkaloids and triptans may result in excessive vasoconstriction. The manufactures of triptans state that concurrent use with ergot preparations is contraindicated.
Class 1: Avoid Combination
- Avoid: Avoid use of triptans within 24 hours of ergot alkaloids.
