• Patients should avoid or minimize exposure of natural/artificial sunlight to areas of the skin treated with the drug. If hypersensitivity occurs, discontinue drug promptly
• Patients should avoid application on skin with fissures, erosions or abrasions as it may cause stinging or burning
• May cause irritation when applied on the face; hence, caution is advised
• Use ammonium lactate as directed by the physician and for external use only

Supplemental Patient Information

• Instruct patients to avoid contact with the eyes, lips, or mucous membranes
• Advise patients to use protective clothing and avoid excessive sun exposure
• Inform patients to promptly discontinue the medication if the skin condition worsens with treatment
