- Aluminum chloride can cause local irritation, discontinue the drug if rash or skin reaction develop and provide appropriate therapy
- Aluminum chloride should be applied only on intact skin, do not apply on irritated or broken skin, open wound or recently shaved skin
- Advise patients not to use other deodorants or antiperspirants while using aluminum chloride
- Aluminum chloride should be applied to completely dry skin
- Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, nose or lips. Wash immediately if contact with these areas
- Infants and children are at higher risk of aluminum exposure from aluminum-containing products due to immature renal function

- Aluminum chloride can stain certain types of fabric and metals. Advise patients to avoid contact with such surfaces
- Advise patients to avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth and lips

Breastfeeding: Safety unknown. It is unknown whether aluminum chloride is excreted in human milk or harms a nursing baby. Manufacturer advises caution.
