Adult Dosing
Metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer previously treated with docetaxel
- 160 mg (four 40mg capsules) administered once daily
- Capsules should be swallowed whole. Do not chew, dissolve, or open capsules.
Pediatric Dosing
- Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established

- Administration of enzalutamide to a pregnant woman may lead to fetal harmful effects, hence use is contraindicated
- Enzalutamide is not indicated for use in women
- Administration of enzalutamide may lead to seizures
- Caution should be exercised in patients with history of seizures, brain injury, stroke or brain tumors
- Use cautiously in patients taking concomitant medications known to lower the seizure threshold
- Because of the risk of seizure associated with enzalutamide, patients should be advised to avoid engaging in activities requiring mental alertness such as operating a hazardous machinery and driving an automobile
- Enzalutamide may cause dizziness, mental impairment, paresthesia, hypoesthesia, and falls

- History of seizures
- Concomitant CYP2C8 inhibitors
Pregnancy category: X; contraindicated
Breastfeeding: It is unknown whether if enzalutamide is excreted in human milk. Manufacturer advises that the decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or to discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
