According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the five most common cosmetic procedures in 2015 were breast augmentation, liposuction, nose reshaping, eyelid surgery, and tummy tucks. Other cosmetic reconstructive surgery performed included tumor removal, laceration repair, maxillofacial surgery, scar revision, and hand surgery (ASPS, 2015). The top five minimally invasive procedures were related to facial rejuventionation-botulinum toxin type A (6.7 million injections), soft tissue fillers (2.4 million), chemical peel (1.3 million), laser hair removal (1.1 million), and microdermabrasion (800,000) (ASPS, 2015).
