There are several ERAS guidelines for abdominal surgery. Current guidelines include (1) perioperative care in elective rectal/pelvic surgery; (2) perioperative care for pancreaticoduodenectomy; (3) perioperative care in elective colonic surgery; (4) consensus guidelines for enhanced recovery after gastrectomy; (5) consensus statement for anesthesia practice for gastrointestinal surgery; (6) pathophysiological considerations for gastrointestinal surgery (ERAS, 2015).
