They are classified according to (a) appearance- saccular or fusiform; (b) location-ascending aorta, arch, descending thoracic (TAA), thoracoabdominal (TAAA), abdominal (AAA) (infrarenal, suprarenal, juxtarenal) or (c) by cause-inflammatory, degenerative (atherosclerotic), traumatic, and infectious (mycotic).
