Information

  1. Measure and record the child’s systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressures (DBP).
  2. Generally, use the right arm for blood pressure assessment. The arm in which blood pressure has been measured (right or left) should be indicated on the chart for future comparison. Avoid using the same arm where the IV is placed.
