The fifth edition of Antibiotics Simplified expands on the drug classes covered in the previous editions while retaining the key point focus of the text that has made it successful. Availability of drugs as intravenous and/or oral formulations has been added. The Fifth Edition includes coverage of new agents, including the rapidly changing world of antiviral pharmacotherapy. A flurry of new antibiotics have been approved (and added) since the Fourth Edition, and the chapters for each class were updated with new clinical and scientific findings. Unavailable drugs have been removed, resulting in the demise of Conans least favorite section: antipseudomonal penicillins.
