Title I Prohibits employers from discrimination against job applicants who have a disability but are otherwise qualified. All aspects of employment are covered including the application process, hiring, training, promotion, compensation, and other terms, conditions, or privilleges of employment. It applies to private emploers with 15 or more employees, state and local governments, and labor unions.
Title II prohibits state and local government programs and acitivitys from discrimination against individuals with disabilities including structural accessibility requirements.
