Bayesian Analysis Tool

Bayesian Analysis Tool is an inference method which use the Bayes theorem to estimate the probability

Sensitivity = TP / (TP+FN)

Specificity = TN / (FP+TN)

Predictive value positive = TP / (TP+FP)

Predictive value negative = TN / (FN+TN)

Positive Likelihood = SENS / (1-SPEC)

Negative Likelihood = (1-SENS) / SPEC

Where,

  • Sensitivity - measures the actual positive results
  • Specificity - measures the actual negative results
  • Predictive value positive - is the true positive proportion of the positive test
  • Predictive value negative - is true negative proportion of subjects with a negative test
  • Likelihood ratio - is the ratio between probability of a defined test result given the presence of a disease and the probability of a defined test result given the absence of a disease.
