Duke Score

Duke Treadmill Score is a prognostic tool used to evaluate the patient with the suspected coronary heart diseases

Duke score is calculated as follows:

  • Duke Score = Time in minutes - (5 × ST wave deviation in mm) - (4 × Treadmill angina index)

Treadmill angina index is

0 - No angina

1 - Non-limiting angina

2 - Test stopped due to angina

The score typically ranges from -25 to +15.

>=+5 corresponds to Low risk

-10 to +4 corresponds to moderate-risk and

<=-11 correspond to High risk
