Partial Pres of Insp O2 (Sea Level)

The partial pressure of inspired oxygen (PiO 2 ) is the part of the total pressure of inspired air contributed by the by oxygen component of air.

Formula used:

  • Partial Pressure of Inspired O 2 in mmHg = FIO 2 * (Bar Press - pH 2 O)

Where,
FIO 2 = % Oxygen in inspired air (as decimal)
pH 2 O = Partial pressure of H 2 O
Bar Press = Barometric pressure at sea level, which is normally 760 mmHg
