The pediatric Trauma Score [PTS] is a valuable tool for assessment of trauma severity and mortality risk in children

The score of individual items given below is summed with a possible score from -6 to +12.

A total score of <=8 suggests possible serious injury, <1 predicts mortality rate of >98%, 4 = 50% mortality, >8 predicts <1% mortality
