Administration sets used to administer IV lipid emulsions (ILE) | Change every 12 hours and/or with each new ILE container. |
Administration sets used to administer blood and blood components | If the first unit of blood requires 4 hours for transfusion, do not reuse toe administration set or filter. Most standard filters have a 4-unit maximum capacity for reuse. |
