Generic Name

• Sugammadex Sodium

Sugammadex is available as a 100-mg/mL solution in 2- and 5-mL single-use vials as the sodium salt.³¹¹¹ The solution also contains hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment.³¹¹¹

pH

The pH is adjusted to a range of 7 to 8.³¹¹¹

Osmolality

The osmolality of sugammadex sodium 100-mg/mL solution is within the range of 300 to 500 mOsm/kg.³¹¹¹

Bridion

Sugammadex should be administered intravenously as a single bolus injection over 10 seconds into an existing intravenous line.³¹¹¹ The intravenous line should be adequately flushed with a compatible infusion solution (e.g., sodium chloride 0.9%) prior to and following administration of sugammadex.³¹¹¹

Sugammadex injection is a clear, colorless to slightly yellow-brown solution.³¹¹¹ Intact vials of the drug should be stored at controlled room temperature and protected from light.³¹¹¹ Vials not protected from light should be used within 5 days.³¹¹¹
