Arsenic trioxide must be diluted with 100 to 250 mL of dextrose 5% or sodium chloride 0.9% for use.2860 After dilution, the drug is administered by intravenous infusion over 1 to 2 hours; the duration of infusion may be extended up to 4 hours in certain patients.2860 A central venous catheter is not required for administration.2860
