Bone and Soft-Tissue Disorders
Etiology:
- acquired (usually gunshot wound)
- congenital AVF
Location: lower extremity most frequent
- soft-tissue mass
- presence of large vessels
- phleboliths (DDx: long-standing varicosity)
- accelerated bone growth
- cortical osteolytic defect (= large-vessel pathway into medulla)
- increased bone density
