H. cell A large granular cell found in pathological sections in some thyroid diseases.

H. cell adenoma A thyroid cancer where the primary cell type are Hurthle cells. It can only be distinguished from a benign Hurthle cell adenoma on pathology specimens when capsular or vascular invasion is seen. It is occasionally found in Hashimoto thyroiditis.

H. cell tumor A benign or malignant tumor of the thyroid gland . The cells are large and acidophilic.
