G.'s capsule The fibrous connective tissue membrane that covers the liver and the bases of the hepatic duct, hepatic artery, and portal vein. SYN: fibrous capsule of the liver.

G.'s disease A vitamin D deficiency, such as rickets in children or osteomalacia in adults.
