(brākē-al'ĭs )

[L. brachialis, pert. to the arm]

A muscle of the arm lying immediately deep to the biceps brachii. It is the chief flexor of the forearm and is innervated by the musculocutaneous nerve. The proximal attachment is the shaft of the humerus, the distal attachment is the ulnar tuberosity.
