Twitching, quivering, jerking, or clonic spasm of a muscle or group of muscles.

m. multiplex Myoclonus marked by persistent and continuous muscular spasms in unrelated muscles. SYN: paramyoclonus multiplex.

negative m.Asterixis.

nocturnal m.Restless legs syndrome.

palatal m.Rapid, rhythmic myoclonus of one or both sides of the soft palate. It may cause a clicking sound in the throat or, occasionally, tinnitus.

post-hypoxic m.Lance-Adams syndrome.
