Necrobiosis lipoidica on the legs. Necrobiosis lipoidica is nearly always located on the anterior surface of the lower legs. It is often associated with diabetes. Treatment is problematic. In cases with ulceration, skin grafting may be very beneficial. The clinical picture is so typical that in most cases it can be recognized without a biopsy.
